Cooking Classes

We are proud to be able to share the following video of chef Nelson Urteaga and students during a recent cooking class. This is the first in a series of short videos, to give you a taste of what to expect in the cooking class, and show you how to recreate some of the foods we have taught previous students.

We are at the end of our second year of offering cooking classes at our restaurant and over 300 students/customers have had the opportunity to prepare a variety of unique dishes among appetizers, soups, salads, main courses and desserts. Classes are scheduled twice per month (on Wednesdays) and Chef Nelson limits 12 persons per class(some exceptions allowed). The classes begin at 6:30pm. The cost per person is $80.00+GST. This includes the cooking class lead by Chef/Owner Nelson Urteaga as well as a signed apron, writing material and 2 4oz glasses of wine specially selected to pair with the dishes prepared on the class. At the end of the class participants will enjoy dinner with the dishes they prepared during the class and informally discuss cooking ,wines, and related subjects. Classes have become a friendly event were participants join a evening of inspiration, good cooking, good eating and lots of fun!

The second session of classes will start September-November as the following:

  • Wednesday September 28th
  • Wednesday October 12th
  • Wednesday October 26th
  • Wednesday November 9th
  • Wednesday November 23rd
  • Wednesday November 30th

Classes will start again in January, 2012.

Classes are an opportunity for friends, neighbors or coworkers spending an evening exploring the very nature of socializing . It is possible to have group cooking classes on different days other then Wednesday. Please call or e-mail for more details.
